Dear BCSCA k-8!

Happy sunny Tuesday! I hope you are all doing well and gearing up for a nice long weekend. Just a few items Vanessa and I wanted to mention:

  1. As you’ll see in the attached letter and in Kerry’s email below, Tara Amanna and her counterparts at Anew Counseling are holding aFREE Zoom workshop for all k-12 parents! She is requesting that you pass this along to any and all parents in your school districts. You can just forward this flyer! It sounds like it’s going to be a very informative and relevant presentation, so please pass along as you see fit! Here are the details:
    • Date: Thursday May 28th
    • Time: 6:30pm
    • Who: All k-12 parents
    • Topics: Generalized anxiety, social anxiety, adjustment disorders with anxiety symptoms, and strategies to help your children cope with anxiety related to COVID-19.
    • How to register: Parents should email Tara at tamanna@anewcounselingservices.com by May 25th

  1. Also, our next k-8 Zoom virtual meeting was scheduled for tomorrow, but we are going to move it to June 10th from 3-4. This will be our last meeting of the year! At this meeting, we will vote on dates for 2020-21 school year and discuss guest speakers. We will also ask if anyone is interested in taking over the leadership roles, so please give that some thought. We will send you a link with login details prior to the meeting.

For now, “Please take care of yourself, and each other” (in the words of Lester Holt)!
